DCCW is on the Road to their first Champion

The road to crowning the first ever Duke City Championship Wrestling begins tonight.

The Professional Wrestling company creating a buzz in downtown Albuquerque will be back at the El Rey Theater for their third show this evening (Thursday August 17th). Capacity has been reached for the first two events to the point where walk ups have been turned away, so you’ll want to find a seat early.

The management of DCCW launched their promotion knowing a brand is only as strong as its champ, Brun Samartino in the Golden area of WWE, Hulk Hogan as WWE went mainstream, Ric Flair as WCW rose to prominence, MJF as AEW is excelling, and Roman Reigns who’s been at the helm of the industry leader in recent years.

A face, a leader, someone at the forefront is need for DCCW and in professional wrestling these things are handled inside the ring. An eight-man tournament will produce the inaugural DCCW heavyweight champion. In the quarterfinals tonight Hobo Hank tangles with Jerry Vandetta, Mosh Pit Mike clashes with Chuey Martinez, Thunder collides with Sid the Kid, & Turbo Tony scraps with Happy the Clown. The semifinals will take will at the promotions September Show & a champion will be belted in October.
