Gamebred Bareknuckle to Crown a Heavyweight Champion
Jorge Masvidal’s Bareknuckle MMA will see its first champion belted in 2024.
March 2nd in Olando, Florida former UFC Heavyweight champion Junior Dos Santos will fight former BKFC Heavyweight champion Alan Belcher for the inaugural Gamebred Bareknuckle MMA Heavyweight title.
Dos Santos signed with the UFC in 2008 rocking the Heavyweight division as he knocked out contender Fabricio Werdum on short notice. At the first UFC on Fox event in 2011 “Cigano” knocked out Cain Velasquez with a might overhand to become world champion. Dos Santos & Werdum met for a second time in 2023 with Dos Santos again getting his hand raised this time by unanimous decision under the Gamebred Bareknuckle banner.
Belcher parted ways with the UFC in 2013 at 18-8 having fought at Middleweight. Eight years later “Talent” returned to combat sports as a Heavyweight. The Mississippi native has won 4 fights in BKFC including dethroning Arnold Adams and picked up five more wins in traditional Boxing. In November Belcher edged out a split decision over Roy Nelson in his return to MMA at Gamebred Bareknuckle
