Welterweight & Flyweight title Fights announced for UFC 310
The final UFC event on the promotions 2024 calendar will be a championship double header from Sin City.
Belal Muhammad will put the UFC Welterweight champion on the line for the first time since winning the belt in July when he defends against Kazakhstan’s Shavkat Rakhmonov. Muammad put a capstone on a 10th consecutive win dominating Leon Edwards ascending to the championship throne. Rakhmonov the unbeaten number three ranked contender has 100% finishing rate including three rear naked chokes in his six UFC victories.
In the co-main event Alexandre Pantoja put the UFC Flyweight title on the line against the debuting former Rizin champion Kai Asakura. Pantoja has posted two successful title defenses with decision wins over Brandon Royval & Steve Erceg. Asakura is a heavy hitter with 13 of his 18 wins by knockout including his last two wins utilizing knees.
Plus, legendary former Strikeforce Welterweight champion Nick Diaz returns to face number 14 ranked Brazilian Vicente Luque. Top five ranked Heavyweight contenders square off in a rescheduled rematch as Ciryl Gane faces Alexander Volkov. Former Bantamweight champion number nine ranked Aljamain Sterling meets number five ranked Movsar Evloev.
UFC 310 is set for December 7th at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas Nevada.
