Keith Richardson Still a Factor at Bantamweight and New Record set for Fastest Knockout at BKFC 69

The Rockstar wasted little time proving he’s still at the top of the division. Sending a loud and clear message to Alberto Blas “I want my belt back”.

It took just 21 seconds for Keith Richardson to turn out Michael Larrimore’s lights and place himself right back in the title conversation. Richardson was returning to the ring for the first time since losing the BKFC Bantamweight title to Alberto Blas. Richardson put Larrimore on his back foot and quickly against the ropes. A left clipped Larrimore and a right hook landed on the chin collapsing his legs out from under him. Richardson looks to be back to the form that saw him have a breakout year in 2023. Richardson told the packed arena that the belt “belongs in South Carolina at Modern Warrior MMA”.

The co-main event was easily the fight of the night as Joe Elmore & Derrick Findley let it all hang out. While Elmore drew a reaction from the crowd with every landed punch Findley hung in tough retuning bombs. In the end Derrick Findley took a split decision to even his BKFC record at 2-2.

UFC vet Nate Maness made a smooth transition to Bare Knuckle. In his debut in the sport Maness earned a third round TKO win over Nick Burgos. Maness stunned Burgos in the second frame with a right uppercut. Having found his grove and feeling that Burgos was slowing Manes pushed down on the gas and overwhelmed Burgos to get the finish.

The showmanship of Nathan Rivera continues to impress. After a surgical five-round performance Rivera busted out a magazine with a headline of how he performed.  Rivera utilized his reach advantage to a tee keeping Justin Streer on the outside and slicing him open under his right eye in the fourth round.

Joe Ray recovered from a rough start to wear down Dexter Carthon for a third -round knockout win courtesy of a left hook. The counter striking game of Jospeh Creer earned a decision win over David Simpson. It was a high-volume output that earned Crystal Van Wyk the decision over Emma Murray.

History was made in the first fight of the main card as Justin Watson put Cole Ferrell down with an overhand right, immediately off the bell for a two second knockout. One-time UFC fighter Braxton Smith made a successful debut knocking out Alex Davis with a left hook in the third round. Samuel Samples knocked down Mike Livingston twice, putting him out with a right hook. And Daniel Cooper got a TKO win over Louis Brewington to start the card with a straight right to the liver.
