Alex Pereira Next Title Defense Booked for March

During UFC 310 the promotion announced  what is next on tap for one of the biggest starts in MMA reigning UFC Light Heavyweight champ Alex Pereira.

A large question surrounding the man who dominated conversion in 2024 was when would “Potan” face Magomed Ankalaev. The answer is the main event of UFC 313 on Match 8th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The bout has intrigued as many feel Anakalaev could have the wrestling to challenge Pereira one on the most devastating strikers the division as ever seen.

In 2024 Pereira knocked out Jamhal Hill at UFC 300, Jiri Prochazka at UFC 303, & Khalil Rountree Jr. at UFC 307.

In November 1022 Perieira won the UFC Middleweight title. A month later Magomed Ankalaev and Jan Blachowicz fight to majority draw with the vacant UFC light heavyweight title on the line. A no contest with Johnny Walker did nothing to help his stock. In 2024 Ankalaev rebuilt his stock and re-established his position in the division with a second round knockout of Johnny Walker and a unanimous decision over Aleksandar Rakic.

The co-main event will see one of the most exciting fighters in the world, Justin Gaethje against New Zealand’s “Hangman” Dan Hooker. Gaethje was a former WSOF champion, BMF Champion, and has twice fought for the UFC championship. Hooker is making a case for a title shot with three consecutive win over Claudio Puelles, Jalin Turner, & Mateusz Gamrot.
