BYB 36, New Champion Crowned in Cardiff
Barrie Jones was a dominant force as BKB champion and now has extended his rule to BYB.
The nature of Bare-Knuckle is one that a finish can happen in an instant. It wasn’t an instant but most of the 16 seconds the BYB 36 main event lasted saw Gregoris Cisneros on the mat attempting to collect himself. Barrie Jones stuck Cisneros with a jab, found his right hook and Cisneros was down on his knees watching his Light Heavyweight title fade away from his grasp. A performance that earns Jones the championship and knockout of the night honors.
Joe Fitzpatrick dissected Kallukm Skhane with body shots while trapped in the corner forcing his corner to throw in the towel during the second round. Bianca Daimoni prevailed over Ashley Brace by split decision in a bloody back and forth war. Dorian Darch put Gary Saltor down with a right hook in the first thirty seconds combined with Saltor breaking his right hand ended the fight after the first knockdown. UFC vet Jack Marshman improved to 2-0 inside the Trigon surviving a war by scoring a fourth-round knockout of Alex Wilson.
A thunderous right hand from Joe Smith sat down Ryan McCann for the second time inside the first round for a massive knockout. The most vicious knockout on the card came from Steve Evans who froze up Steve Roue with a left hook.
Keiron Harding displayed speedy accurate combinations ripping through Jonny Lawson in one round. Volodymyr Skurtu stopped Troy Palmer just over two minutes into the first round with a left hook. Ash Willams got off the mat in the first round to crushing Joe Randall for the comeback win in a wild war that claimed fight of the night. And Dan Gittens got his hand raised in his BYB debut roughing up Joe Clarke on the ropes with body shots for second round finish.
