Luis Palomino Prevails over Howard Davis & Leonardo Perdomo Keeps Crushing

Luis Palomino has positioned himself to regain the title he never lost.

Palomino began 2024 by vacating one of his two world titles to set up a super fight for his Welterweight title. A big gamble that came up snake eyes as former Boxing world champion Austin Trout won a one-sided decision.  The return had many questioning what did the former pound for pound king who’s in his Forty’s have left.

The answer is plenty. The “Baboon” was sharp sticking Howard Davis with stiff single shots. Palomino kept Davis in front of him making use of his strength advantage in the clinch keeping Davis pinned on the ropes. While the total number of Bare Knuckle fights coming in was equal, the overall experience advantage possessed by Palomino made a major difference utilizing several tricks from up his sleeve. A true learning experience for Davis who showed no quit and had his best round in the fifth when he let it all hang out.

The night and the first King of the Streets title belongs to Luis Palomino who should be in line for a shot at the belt he vacated. The Lightweight title, the division where he’s a perfect 8-0. The title is currently held by Franco Tenaglia, who doesn’t have a defense on schedule.

In the co-main event Leonardo Perdomo continues to bulldoze through the competition as he ate up and spit out former WBA Cruiserweight champion Steve Herelius in only thirteen seconds. Perdomo measured, swung, backed Herelius to a post and a left hook off the eyebrow brought down the house. That 7-0 for Perdomo with all the win by first round knockout.

The number one contender in the bantamweight division Justin Ibarrola also ran his record to 7-0. The normally tactful Ibarrola came out to prove a point in the second round. Ibarrola turned up the aggression collecting two knockdowns off his left hook to end the fight in the second and make a clear statement about wanting to face Alberto Blas for the BKFC Bantamweight title.

Justin Street scored a major upset over Rambo Ruso from a TKO  from a doctor stoppage due to cut. Edgard Plazaola has made a strong case for the Featherweight ranking now sitting at 5-0. Plazaola knocked down Louis Lopez twice in the second finishing the job with body work in the third.

Wild over hands from Roberto Armas controlled the pace and handed Chris Garcia his first loss in BKFC. Peter Peraza stopped Kaine Tomlinson Jr. with an overhand right on the third knockdown he produced. Full results for the event are available.
