Power Slap 19 Delivers Chaos, Knockouts, and Statement Wins in Las Vegas

Power Slap 19 brought another wild night of high-impact action to The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas, Nevada, as rising contenders made their mark and champions defended their thrones in emphatic fashion.

The event showcased everything the sport thrives on—brutal knockouts, controversial fouls, and razor-close battles—headlined by two title fights and several performances that could reshape their respective divisions.

The main event delivered a true war in the super heavyweight division, as champion Dayne “Da Hawaiian Hitman” Viernes edged out Makini “Big Mak” Manu in a grueling split decision (49-46, 47-48, 48-47). The bout lived up to its billing as a clash of giants, featuring relentless back-and-forth action. A flinch from Manu in the third round resulted in a re-slap, adding another layer of drama to an already intense contest.

In the heavyweight title bout co-main event, reigning champion Damien “The Bell” Dibbell successfully defended his crown for the fifth time, stopping Darius “The Destroyer” Mata-Varona via third-round TKO. Dibbell’s dominance continues to define the division, as he further cements his legacy as one of Power Slap’s most consistent champions.

Former WWE standout Jake Hager delivered one of the night’s most brutal finishes in his heavyweight clash against Devin “Big Jinx” Jenkins. Hager stunned Jenkins early, then followed up with a knockdown on his second slap. Although Jenkins managed to stand, he quickly went back down, resulting in a third-round knockout victory for Hager.

One of the breakout performances of the night came from Johnny “The New Mexican Badass” Magna, who continued his rapid rise with a second-round knockout over Pono “Da Hawaiian Assassin” Pau. After wobbling Pau in the first round, Magna sealed the deal in the second, even as Pau dramatically bounced off the platform during the exchange. The win firmly places Magna in the conversation for a future title shot.

In the super heavyweight division, discipline played a major role in the outcome between Dumpling and Eviahn “The Waterboy” Scott. Scott committed multiple fouls, including clubbing and flinching, which ultimately cost him dearly. Dumpling capitalized on those mistakes and secured a decisive unanimous decision victory (28-26, 30-25, 30-25).

The women’s featherweight matchup between Destiny “My Time” McCubbin and Hollyhood Haley J had its share of controversy. Haley J was penalized in the second round for flinching, resulting in a re-slap, but she maintained her composure and still dominated the contest. Haley J swept all three rounds on the judges’ scorecards (30-27), proving her ability to overcome adversity mid-match.

In the middleweight division, Stunt Marshall wasted no time making a statement, delivering a first-round knockout over John “The Machine” Davis. The emphatic finish underscores Marshall’s growing reputation as one of the division’s most dangerous finishers.

Austin “Turp Daddy Slim” Turpin put on a composed and technical performance in the light heavyweight division, earning a clean sweep unanimous decision (30-27) over TJ “The Gorilla” Thomas. Turpin’s consistency and control across all three rounds kept Thomas from mounting any real momentum, solidifying Turpin’s standing as a serious contender.

From highlight-reel knockouts to gritty decisions, Power Slap 19 proved once again why the promotion continues to grow in popularity. With contenders emerging and champions holding firm, the road ahead is packed with intriguing matchups and potential title implications across every division.
