Usman Nurmagomedov Defends PFL Lightweight Title with First-Round Finish
Usman Nurmagomedov remains unbeaten and firmly atop the PFL lightweight division after making a successful championship defense in impressive fashion.
The undefeated champion improved to 22-0 with one no contest by stopping previously unbeaten Archie Colgan (13-1) via first-round TKO. Nurmagomedov overwhelmed the challenger with a relentless striking attack, forcing the referee to intervene at the 3:42 mark of the opening round to retain the PFL Lightweight Championship.
In the co-main event, Dakota Ditcheva continued her rise as one of the sport’s brightest stars. The unbeaten flyweight moved to 16-0 with a dominant unanimous decision victory over Denise Kielholtz. Ditcheva controlled the action from start to finish, earning 30-27 scores from all three judges.
The main card also featured two additional stoppage victories. Undefeated lightweight Amru Magomedov improved to 11-0 by defeating Angel Alvarez via second-round TKO. After a competitive opening round, Magomedov turned up the pressure and finished the bout with strikes at 4:28 of the second.
Opening the televised card, light heavyweight prospect Moustapha Diakhate stayed unbeaten, improving to 6-0-1 with a first-round TKO over Darryl Walker. Diakhate wasted little time imposing his offense, earning the stoppage at 2:35 of the opening frame.
