BKFC Announces Glasgow Debut With Conor Cooke vs. Sean Weir Title Fight

Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship is heading to Glasgow, Scotland, for the first time.

BKFC will make its highly anticipated Glasgow debut on Saturday, November 7, at the OVO Hydro, with a championship showdown between two of the United Kingdom’s top bare-knuckle fighters set to headline the event.

In the main event of BKFC Fight Night Glasgow, Conor “Da Crook” Cooke (6-1) will defend his BKFC UK Light Heavyweight Championship against Scotland’s Sean “The Butcher” Weir (3-0).

The matchup pits the experienced champion against an unbeaten Scottish contender who will have home-field advantage in front of what is expected to be a raucous Glasgow crowd.

Cooke captured the UK light heavyweight title with a decision victory over Matt Hodgson at BKFC-68 on November 2, 2024, in Newcastle. The Antrim, Ireland native has since established himself as one of the division’s most dangerous finishers, successfully defending the championship twice by knockout.

Cooke stopped Stevie Taylor via first-round knockout on March 29, 2025, before adding another stoppage against Anthony Holmes, finishing him in the third round on December 13, 2025.

Now, Cooke will put his title on the line against an undefeated challenger looking to make his biggest statement yet.

Weir has quickly built a reputation as one of Scotland’s most exciting bare-knuckle fighters. The Glasgow native scored a second-round knockout of Joe Lister on September 27, 2025, in Manchester before returning to Newcastle on March 14, 2026, and stopping Hodgson in the opening round.

With three wins and three stoppages to his name, Weir believes the opportunity to challenge Cooke in front of a Scottish crowd is exactly what he has been working toward.

“Glasgow is going to be a special night,” Weir said. “This is more than just another fight for me. I’ve put everything into getting to this position. I respect what Conor Cooke has achieved and I know the level of fighter I’m stepping in with, but I’ve asked for the best because I want to prove I belong at the top.”

Cooke, meanwhile, is embracing the challenge of defending his title on hostile territory.
