ICS Mania set for April 12th
Former UFC champions Quinton “Rampage” Jackson & “Suga” Rashad Evans will once again square off but this time it’s under the banner of Influencer Crossover Series.
Influencer Crossover Series is a platform where athletes from a variety of sports, social media personalities, and professional boxing all come together.
April 12 Influencer Crossover Series presents ICS Mania from The Pit in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This will be the first boxing match in The Pit since 1994.
In 2010 the Rampage – Rashad feud turned into the biggest rivalry in MMA. The contentious nature between the two led to one of the most intense seasons ever of The Ultimate Fighter.
Rashad would get the last laugh as a big overhand and his wrestling would lead to a unanimous decision victory over Rampage at UFC 114. While the two have buried the hatch the competitive juices are still flowing and Rampage said getting the chance to box “is a dream come true”.
While the promotion has Influencer in the man both fighters have promised this will be a real fight.
As for the rest of the card no other matches were announced. But the face of Boxing in New Mexico for the last decade Josh “Pitbull” Torres, UFC hall of famer Diego Sanchez are expected to be in n the card. The last time there was Boxing in The Pit Johnny Tapia fought for a world title. On this card his son’s Johnny Jr. & Nico Tapia will make their pro debuts.
