Bonner has Breakthrough Performance at BKFC 76
What an event at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, TX, the very first time BKFC held a event in Texas and by all accounts, if your counting attendance and above all fight energy it was a success, as a sold out crowd of 9,400 were entertained by a night full of action packed fights as one after another delivered the much anticipated hype.

BKFC is here, in fact, BKFC founder/president David Feldman indicated that now that Texas is open for business he can see 3 different regions to focus on growth as Texas is such a big market–”it’s like three states.”
In the main event a last minute substitute, who had only 8 days to prepare, Great Britain’s own Ben “The Bomber” Bonner delivered a great performance knocking down, Toney “Loco” Soto, in the first two rounds to set the tone for the night. The Middleborough native, who claims to come from the toughest part of that city, won a unanimous decision (49-44, 47-46, 48-45).
In the post fight conference Bonner said,
“Tony is one of the toughest men…other men have gone down with lesser punches that I have thrown.”
Bonner, who after winning the fight was crowned the interim BKFC lightweight champion, wrapped up the press conference by stating, “I’m the baddest man at 155lb. on this planet and there is nobody on this planet that is going to beat me—not a single man.”
Bonner ups his record to 4-1 while Soto drops to 6-2.
The CoMain event was also ground breaking as Andrei “The Pitbull” Androvolski, a former UFC heavyweight champion, defeated Josh “Cuddly Bear” Copeland after the ringside physician determined that gashes around Copeland’s right eye were severe enough to stop the fight after 4 rounds.
During the post fight interview Arlovski called out BKFC Heavyweight champion “Big” Ben Rothwell who went into the ring and confronted him. Rothwell said to Arlovski , “You better be careful what you wish for–If you fight me like that, I’m going to end your F*** career.”
Arlovski moves on to 1-0 and BKFC veteran Copeland moves to 2-2.
Jessica “Evil” Eye, coming off the couch ending her retirement from fighting, went the distance for the “W” with Miraya “Money Mashka” Agapova in the flyweight division. After an initial knockdown Eye could not take out Agapova and her sheer volume of punches earned her the unanimous decision (49-45, 49-45). Eye stated after the fight, “It’s either one day or day 1–and that’s right now.”
Kenzie “TCB” Morrison, son of legendary boxer Tommy “The Duke” Morrison made quick work of his opponent Alex “The Rhino” Davis and just over a minute for the TKO.
An amped up Morrison stated, “I am here,” after his win.
Crowd favorite Cameron “The Bull” Delano, who is well known as champion bull rider on the Professional Bull Riding (PBR) circuit won his BKFC premiere l defeating Jesse Desrosier in the 3rd round by TKO. In the post conference Delano, who took a good punch early on from Desrosier said, “Before that I had only taken a punch from my brother–I can handle this.”
In total there were 12 fights and BKFC founder/president Feldman said of BKFC-76, “There were 24 fighters tonight and 18 bonuses for (Fighting Your Ass Off)—no other promotion does that—I’m very proud of our fighters for doing what they had to do.”
