A Night of Knockouts: BKFC Ignites Townsville with Relentless Action

Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship brought its hard-hitting brand of action down under with BKFC Fight Night Australia, held at the Townsville Convention Center in Queensland. The card delivered a string of emphatic finishes, with knockouts  dominating the night across multiple divisions.

In the heavyweight division, Haze Hepi made a statement with a second-round knockout victory over Krzyzstof Wisniewski. Hepi’s power was evident early, as he dropped Wisniewski with a crushing right hand in the closing seconds of round one. He carried that momentum into the second, scoring two more knockdowns with right hooks before sealing the finish at 1:44. The victory a bit of a revenge served even sweeter at home, avenging this past November’s loss and evening the score between the two.

Fellow heavyweight Dilan Prasovic needed just one round to dispatch Mark Flanagan via doctor stoppage. Prasovic showcased sharp, technical striking, slicing open Flanagan and swelling his right eye shut with precise left hands. The damage proved too severe, and the bout was halted at the end of the opening frame, pushing Prasovic to 2-0 in BKFC competition.

Darcy Braine stood out as the lone heavyweight to go the distance, earning a dominant unanimous decision victory over Richie Fa’osa. Weighing in at 330 pounds, Braine displayed surprising composure and technique, controlling the fight from start to finish. He scored the bout’s most significant moment early, dropping Fa’osa with a clean left hook en route to a 30-26 sweep on all three scorecards.

Elsewhere in the heavyweight ranks, Fetongi Tuinauvai delivered one of the fastest finishes of the night, knocking out Patrick Tolone just 30 seconds into the first round with a perfectly timed counter overhand right.

The welterweight division also produced fireworks. Josh Kuhne secured a third-round TKO over Mick Whitehead after a dominant performance that included multiple knockdowns. Kuhne dropped Whitehead twice in the opening round with right hands and added a third knockdown late in the second before finishing the fight 51 seconds into round three with a sharp right cross.

Boaz Kapua wasted no time in his welterweight clash, overwhelming Brayden Marzona for a first-round TKO. A powerful right hand scored the initial knockdown, and Kapua immediately pounced after the restart, landing another right to bring a swift end to the contest at just over a minute into the fight.

In lightweight action, Hunter Ioane leaned on his professional boxing pedigree to secure a third-round knockout over Luke Bampton. Ioane controlled the pace from the outset, confidently setting traps and even taunting his opponent to create openings. The finish came when an overhand right triggered a flurry that ended the bout following the first knockdown.

Ryan Winnet showed resilience in his lightweight bout against Cooper Clark. After suffering a cut on the bridge of his nose in the first round, Winnet rallied to score three knockdowns in the second, all stemming from right hands. He closed the show in the third round with a fourth knockdown, this time via a right uppercut, earning the TKO at 0:45.

Middleweight Asher Jack delivered a clinical performance in his TKO win over Chris Drummond. Jack inflicted significant damage to Drummond’s left eye in the first round with a heavy overhand right, then compounded it in the second with a straight right. A follow-up barrage of hooks forced the stoppage at 1:09 of round two.

Rounding out the card, light heavyweight Sebastian Temesi wasted little time against Alvin Kanehailua, scoring two quick knockdowns—a left hook followed by a straight right—to secure a TKO victory just 1:13 into the first round.

Overall, BKFC Fight Night Australia lived up to expectations, showcasing the promotion’s trademark intensity and finishing ability. With only one fight going to the judges, the Townsville crowd witnessed a night packed with decisive outcomes and highlight-reel moments, further cementing BKFC’s growing international presence.
