Former UFC Heavyweight Shane Carwin New PFC Executive

Fresh into his retirement Shane Carwin (12-2) has found a way to still stay involved in MMA.

Carwin has joined Prize Fighting Championships and will serve as the promotions vice president of fighter development. Carwin plans to be a guiding voice in the promotion and someone that young fighters can turn to.

Carwin retired earlier in 2013 after battling and assortment of nagging knee and back injuries. Carwin last fought at UFC 131 losing a unanimous decision to Junior dos Santos.

Prize Fighting Championships next event will be on PFC 2 on July 13 at the Magness Arena; and is headlined by “Wildman” Thomas Denny challenging Tony Sims for the PFC Lightweight title.
