UFC on Fox Sports 1 2 Adds Elkins vs. Hioki & Mizugaki vs. Perez
Two bouts have made their way on theUFC on Fox Sport 1 2 event with at Featherweight Darren “The Damage” Elkins (16-3) taking on Hatsu Hioki (26-6-2) and at Bantamweight Erik “El Goyito” Perez (13-4) meets Takeya Mizugaki (17-7-2).
At UFC on Fox 7 Darren Elkins stepped up to replace a injured Clay Guida aginst Chad Medes. Elkins would suffer a 1st round KO loss to Mendes ending a 5 fight win streak that “The Damage” went on after dropping from Lightweight to Featherweight.
Hatsu Hioki entered the UFC having gone 12-1-1 in his last 14 fights but, is only 2-2 in the UFC, defeating George Roop and Bart Palaszewski; while being better in his last two contests by Ricardo lamas and Clay Guida. Hioki has 12 of 16 stoppage wins by submission.
Erik Perez was expected to compete at UFC 150 before being sidelined by injury. Perez is member of Jackson’s/Winkeljohn’s MMA is on a 8 fight winning streak including defeating John Albert (SUB), Ken Stone (KO), and Byron Bloodworth (TKO); since joining the UFC.
Japan’s Takeya Mizugaki is 4-2 in his last 6 fights, including a 2 fight win streak bettering by decision Jeff Hougland and Bryan Caraway. Mizugaki has 5 of 6 stoppage wins by KO/TKO, but had the majority of his wins (11) by decision.
UFC on Fox Sports 1 2 takes place on August 28 at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. In the main event “the Natural Born Killer” Carlos Condit faces Marin “The Hitman” Kampmann for the second time.
