Change of Opponent for Holly Holm at Legacy FC 24
The injury bug has bit Erica Paes (2-1) and force her to withdraw from her scheduled Legacy FC 24 Bantamweight contest with Holly “The Preachers Daughter” Holm (4-0). Stepping up to take the fight on with 3 weeks to prepare is Alaska’s Nikki “Knuckles” Knudsen (2-1).
Holm ended her championship boxing career with a (33-2-3) record. “The Preachers Daughter” so far in her MMA career has so far defeated Christina Domke (TKO), Jan Finney (KO), Katie Merrill (TKO), and most recently Allanna Jones (KO); in Holm’s Legacy debut.
Knudsen made her pro debut with a TKO win over Kloiah Wayland. In her 2nd pro bout Willow Bailey would stop “Knuckles”, with a rear naked choke. Both those fights happened in 2009. Most recnetly Knudsen got back in the cage in June and defeated Windy Thorn by rear naked choke. This will be the 1st time for Knudsen to fight out side of her home State.
Legacy FC 24 takes place on October 11, at the Allen Event Center in Dallas, Texas. The main event will see a Bantamweight battle between “The Angel of Death” Damacio Page and Ryan Benoit.
