Perez vs. Figueroa & Herman Natal added to UFC 167
A pair of match-ups has recently been announced by UFC official for UFC 167. First off, in the Bantamweight division Erick “El Goyito” Perez (13-5) will tangle with Edwin “El Feroz’Fiueroa (9-3). Secondly in Middleweight action Ed “Short Fuse” Herman (21-9) square off with Rafael “Sapo” Natal (17-4-1).
“El Goyito” will be looking to bounce back from a UFC Fight Night 27, split decision loss to Takeya Mizugaki; that erased Perez’s undefeated UFC record (3-0) and 9 fight winning streak.
“El Feroz” has lost back to back fights to Roland Delorme and Francisco Rivera, which comes on the heels of consecutive wins over Alex Caceres and Jason Reinhardt.
Herman is coming off a Fight of the Night earning battle with Tevor Smith UFC on Fox 8, that saw “Short Fuse” halt his 2 fight losing streak with a unanimous decision victory.
Natal is also coming off a Fight of the Night award winning scrap at UFC Fight Night 28 against Tor Troeng. The win was Natal’s 5th in his last 6 fights.
UFC 167 takes place in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on November 16. The main event will see Johny “Big Rig” Hendricks challenge Georges “Rush” St. Pierre for the UFC Welterweight title.
