Dias vs. Kawajiri & Kikuno vs. Mulhern at UFC Fight Night Singapore

The UFC as announced a pair of bouts for their January 4, Fight Night in Singapore. Hacran Dias (21-2-1) and Quninn Mulhern (18-3) welcome Tatsuya “Crusher” Kawajiri (32-7-2) and Katsunori Kikuno (21-5-1) to the UFC.

Dias is a Shooto vet and a member of Nova Uniao, the same camp as Jose Aldo and Renan Barao. In 2 UFC bout Dias has been the distance both times, with a win over Yuri Alcantara; and a loss to Nik Lentz.

Kawajiri a K-1, Pride, Dream, Shooto, and One FC vet is currently on a 5 fight win streak; over Drew Fickett (TKO), Joachim Hansen (SUB), Kazuyuki Miyata (SUB), Donald Sanchez (SUB), and Michihiro Omigawa (UD). Kawajiri didn’t fight in 2013, with his last fight being at the Dream 18 New Years show; at the end of 2012.

Kikuno a Dream and Deep vet is currently on a 5 fight win streak. Kikuno has won his last 4 fights by stoppage with 3 KO’s and 1 rear naked choke; which was his most recent win over Yong Jae Lee.

Mulhern a former KOTC champion will be dropping to Lightweight after a UFC debut loss to Rick Story, which halted a 3 fight winning streak that occurred in Strikeforce defeating Danny Davis Jr. (SUB), David Hulett (UD), and Yuri Villefort (SD).

UFC Fight Night 34 takes place in Singapore and is headlined by a Welterweight showdown between former Strikeforce Welterweight champion Tarec “Sponge” Saffiedine & heavy handed Jake “The Juggernaut” Ellenberger.
