New WSOF 8 Headliner Gaethje vs. Patishnock

For the 3^rd time Justin Gaethje (10-0) has received a new opponent for the January 18th, WSOF 8 headlining, inaugural Lightweight title bout. Originally Geaias Cavalcante (18-7-1) then Lewis Gonzalez (9-0) and now Richard Patishnock (6-1).

Patishnock who has won consecutive fights over Igor Gracie (TKO) and Gregor Gracie (UD), had been scheduled to take on MMA vet Luis Palomino (21-9) on the prelim portion of WSOF 8. Palomino will remain on the card instead colliding with fellow vet and former 2 division Legacy FC title holder Jorge Patino (35-14-2).

Gaethje an undefeated product of Trevor Wittman’s Grudge Training Center is on a 5 fight streak of winning by (T)KO, including stopping Gesias Cavalcante (doctor’s stoppage), Brian Cobb, and Dan Lauzon all in the WSOF cage.

WSOF 8 takes place on January 18^th, at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Holywood, Florida
