Shogun-Hedo II Headlines UFC Fight Night 38
The follow up to the 2011 fight of the year will headline UFC Fight Night 38 as Mauricio “Shogun” Rua (22-8) looks to even the score with Dan “Hendo” Henderson (29-11).
Since that fight of the year with Henderson at UFC 139, Rua has gone 2-2 with wins over Brandon Vera (TKO) and James Te Huna (KO), on either side of consecutive losses to to Alexander Gustafsson (UD) and Chael Sonnen (SUB).
For Henderson the win over Rua made 4 straight, including wins over Renato Sobral (KO), Rafael Cavalcante (TKO), Fed Emelianenko (TKO). Since UFC 139 “Hedo” has lost 3 fight in a row to Lyoto Machida (SD), Rashad Evans (SD), and Vitor Belfort (KO).
One other bout has also been slated for the March 23, event at the Natal in Rio Grande Do Norte, Brazil; with at Featherweight TUF Brazil season 1 winner Rony Jason (13-4), looks to rebound from a knock out loss to Jeremy Stephens when he takes on TUF 14 alum Steven Siler (23-11); who is looking to bounce back from a decision loss to Dennis Bermudez.
