Brown replaces Soriano Against Payan at UFC on Fox 11
The recently announced bout for UFC on Fox 11 of Sean Soriano (8-1) vs. Estevan “El Terrible” Payan (14-5), due to a Soriano injury will instead see former WEC champion Mike Brown (26-9) taking on Payan.
Brown who is 2-1 in his last 3 has decision wins over Nam Phan and Daniel Pineda, while being knocked out by Dennis Siver. Due to back injuries Brown who most recently fought in August had been sidelined for 14 months prior.
Payan entered the UFC with a 8 fight unbeaten streak. But in the octagon Payam has suffered back to back losses to Jeremy Stephens (UD) and Robbie Peralta (TKO).
UFC on Fox 11 at the Amway Arena in Orlando, Florida, is headlined by Fabricio Werdum battling Travis Browne for the Heavyweight divisions number 1 contender spot.
