Henderson vs. Cormier Named UFC 173 Co-main Event
The UFC has announced that taking the co-main event honors at UFC 173 will be a Light Heavyweight bout pitting former Olympic wrestlers against one another as Dan “Hendo” Henderson (30-11) meets Daniel “DC” Cormier (14-0).
Henderson recently scored a come from behind knock out of “Shogun” Rua, ending a 3 fight losses streak that has proceeded a 4 fight win streak.
Cormier is coming off of a Light Heavyweight debut, 1st round TKO of late replacement for an injured Rashad Evans, Patrick Cummins.
UFC 173 take place on May 24th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada; and is headlined by TJ Dillashaw challenging Renan Barao for the UFC Bantamweight title.
