My view-

  • Beal and Williams both tested each others chins in s wild 1st rd that saw Patrick score a take down and Beal at the end of the round land a kick that cuts the top of Williams head. In the 2nd rd Beal tagged Williams who had his chin up and back him to the fence before exploding and landing a picture perfect flying knee knockout.
  • Brennman vs. Castillo in rd 1 is a back & forth scramble fest. Rd 2 Castillo fakes the level change for a take down, throw and  lands a clean overhand right for a clean one-punch knock out.
  • Duke vs. Correia was a battle of the straight punches, knees, and take downs (2/4) of Duke against the over hands, hooks and leg kicks of Correia who with a high out put and striking accuracy wins by decision.
  • Gomi vs. Vallie-Flagg was an in boxing range dog fight. The 1st rd with a majority of strikes took the cards. Gomi in the 2nd rd hurt IVF with a liver shot and even worked the right eye to the point of almost being closed. In a gritty 3rd rd Gomi out pointed Vallie-Flagg and even in a scramble finished the fight on top. Vallie-Flagg’s right eye is closed and nose is bleeding. 2rd-1rd Gomi takes the decision.
  • A gritty Tim Elliott went right as Joseph Benavidez took him down and turn the bout into a high pace one. Elliot had Benavidez’s back, but lost it scored a 3rd take down and in a scramble Benavidez took top position and worked his way to mount while trapping both are and sinking in a guillotine choke for the win. Elliott has to tap with his feet because of his arms being trapped.
  • Holloway & Fili mir images of each other. Fili found the range applied the pressure and took rd 1. Rd 2  was very close with Holloway finding the mark with the spinning back kick to the body, Fili countered in the clinch and scoring a take down. Holloway spent the 3rd rd defending take downs.Holloway pressured Fili to the fence opened up with short elbows long jabs; and caught Fili ducking his head an sank in the guillotine choke for the late stoppage.
  • MIller & Mediros both searched for their range on the feet, Miller found it 1st land a left to the liver, closing the distance throwing Mediros to the ground and sinking in the guillotine choke for the win.
  •  Boetsch shot in for a take down on Rockhold who in the scramble sank in an inverted triangle and submits Boetsch with a inverted triangle choke/ kimura combination
  • The striking power and varied striking acttacks Anthony Johnson’s has kept Phil Davis at bay and running from in close exchanges. Johnson stalked Davis for 3 rds.
  • The 1st rd  saw Jones open up with a variety of kicking attacks and even scored a take down. Jones took rd 2 with leg kicks, side kicks, left elbows, and left straights; Teixeira did back Jones up with a flurry but didn’t capitalize on it. In the 3rd rd Teixeira did back Jones up with a flurry of uppercuts, but Jones again controlled the action with elbows and hooks on the inside. Teixeira even had to stick his mouth peace back in after a upper cut dislodged it. In the 4th rd Jones hits Teixeira with slicing close elbows turning Teixeira’s face into a bloody mess; and Jones ends the rd completing a take down. Jones comes out in the 5th rushes Teixeira and completes the take down. Teixeira Scrambles to his feet and is hit with a spinning elbow. In close quarters they are swinging and both men land but neither backs down.. Jones runs around toys with Teixeira for the last 2 minutes closing out a dominate performance.
