UFC Fight Night San Antonio adds Ellenberger vs. Trevino
Lightweights Joe Ellenberger (14-1) and Frank Trevino (12-0) have been scheduled to face off at UFC Fight Night San Antonio.
Joe Ellenberger (14-1) who was scheduled to make his UFC debut at UFC 172, against Yancy Medeiros, but an injury to Booby Green would give Mederios the chance to move to the main card an face Jim Miller;Vagner Rocha on short notice would except to face Ellenberger and then got injured canceling the bout.
Trevino who will be fight in the octagon in his home state for the 2nd time, is coming off a UFC 171 promotional debut unanimous decision win over Renee Forte
Ellenberger has 8 of 12 stoppages by submission, while Trevino has 8 stoppages split 4 each (T)KO/Submissions.
UFC Fight Night San Antonio takes place on June 28, at the AT&T Center; and is headlined by Cub Swanson vs. Jeremy Stephens.
