My view-

  •  Derrick Lewis hurt by early leg kicks, turned the bout in a wrestling/scramble and once he was on top dropped huge bombs.
  • Mirsad Bektic survived an illegal knee to out wrestle a division 1 wrestler and take the decision to remain undefeated.
  • In a close fight Dustin Ortiz out struck Ray Borg who won the grappling with 5 take downs and taking the back. The split decision goes to Oritiz. *Borg took fight on 2 weeks notice.
  • Jordan Mein with a varied striking attack, better foot work, and timely take down win the bout by split decision. Should have been unanimous. Hernani Perpetuo only landed a few hard leg kicks and one good right that stumbled Mein.
  • Caio Magalhaes came out guns blazing. A heavy left to the back of the ear stunned Luke Zachrich, a left to the liver and knee to the the body put Zachin on the ground and Magalhaes finished with ground and pound.
  • Alex White starts out with many body kicks drops Estevan Payan with a left jab and after taking a plethora of unblocked ground and pound strikes the bout is stopped.
  • Jorge Masvidal dominates the bout at striking distance, peppering with kick and punches. Pat Healy known for his grinding style, never got the take down, was put on his own back; and had a real position battle going in the clinch. Masvidal controlled the entire bout.
  • In a 3 round war that is in the lead for Fight of the Night Thiago Alves and Seth Bacnzyski both cut and bloodied each other with punches and combinations. The kick of Alves’s would prove to be the difference battering Baczynski’s left leg.*This was the first fight in 2 years for Thiago Alves, having been sidelined by injury.
  • Khabib Nurmagomedov used his striking to get on the inside and then pressured and smothered Rafael dos Anjos using the clinch against the fence to score take downs and smother again; winning all three wins.
  • Yoel Romero throw around Brad Tavares in the clinch, controlled the action on the ground, and scored on the feet with an punching based attack. The highlight was a Romero stepping in left elbow that split Tavares open along his hair line.
  • In a wild striking affair Edson Barboza with connecting and stunning Donald Cerrone who was missing on his on winging punches, but then Cerreone drops Barboza with a jab. Following to the ground Cerrone takes the back and sinks in a rear naked choke for the finish.
  • Miesha Tate recover from being pressured and put on her back in round one, to put together strikes winning round 2, and taking the almost getting a submission to win round 3.
  • Travis Browne’s only moment of the fight would come early in the contest dropping Fabricio Werdum with an overhand right. Werdum would recover take Browne to the ground and win the rest of the round. Werdum in the next 4 rounds would show a bigger gas tank then Brwone and the Brazilian would with his jabs, boby, and leg kicks pick apart the Hawaiian; even taunting.* Fabricio Werdum has earned the next shot at taking the UFC Heavyweight title from Cain Velasquez.
