Struve vs. Mitrione & Vasconcelos vs. Zchrich added to UFC 175
After defeating a rare heart condition Stefan “Skyscraper” Struve (25-6) is ready to step back into the octagon at UFC 175 against Matt “Meathead” Mitrione (7-3). The promotion has also announced that Middleweights Guilherme Vasconcelos (3-1) and Luke Zachrich (13-3) are also set to meet on July 5th.
Struve has not fought since a March 2013 TKO loss to Mark Hunt ended a 4 fight win streak, that included wins over Pat Barry (SUB), Dave Herman (TKO), Lavar Johnson (SUB), and Stipe Miocic (TKO).
Mitrione is 2-3 in his last 5 fights, coming off a knock out of Shawn Jordan, rebounding from a submission loss to Brendan Schaub, at UFC 165.
Vasconcelos will be making his promotional debut on a 2 fight wining streak over Elizeu dos Santos (SUB) and Abner Teizeira (TKO).
Zachrich is coming off a promotional debut TKO loss to Caio Magalhaes that ended a 3 fight winning streak.
UFC 175 on July 5 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada; headlined by Lyoto “The Dragon” Machida challenging Chris Weidman for the UFC Middleweight Title.
