New Invicta FC 10 Main Event Waterson vs. Tiburcio
At Invicta FC 9 it was announced that the new Invicta FC 10 main event will see Herica Tiburcio (8-2) challenging “The Karate Hottie” Michelle Waterson (12-3) for the Invicta Atomweight title.
Tiburcio was expected to fight at Invicta FC 9, but was unable to due to visa issues. Tiburcio has won 3 in a row with a pair of submission wins over Kimberlt Tanaka Novaes and Chayen Aline Gaspar. Waterson has won 6 fights in a row coming off her first successful title defense, scoring a 3rd round TKO of Tasuko Tamada; at Invicta FC 8.
The new main event replaces the Bantamweight debut of Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino (12-1), who has suffered a full thickness rupture of the anterior talofibular ligament, which is a severe ankle injury.
The co-main event will be a Bantamweight bout between Tonya “Triple Threat” Evinger (14-5), who’s on a 5 fight win streak coming off a submission of Ediane Gomes, & Cindy “Battlecat” Danois (5-1) of Belgium, who was unable to fight at Invicta FC 9 due to visa issues; and is coming off a TKO Jorina Baars.
Additionally it’s also expected that at Flyweight Vanessa Porto (17-6) will face “The Happy Warrior” Roxanne Modafferi (16-11).
Invicta FC 10 will be on Friday, December 5th, in Houston, Texas.
