RFA 26 “Smith vs. Smith” Coming Together
The RFA Welterweight Title will be on the line June 5th in the main event of RFA 26 as Gilbert Jamal Smith challenges Benjamin Smith for the strap.
At RFA 24 Benjamin Smith captured the vacant RFA Welterweight championship with a 3rd round TKO of Tat Romero. The win was Smith’s 6th in a row. Gilbert Smith is 2-1 in his last 3 and will be looking to rebound from a RFA 22 unanimous decision loss to Chidi Njokuani.
The co-main event will feature Lightweights with Marcus “Bad Intentions” Edwards squaring of with Thiago Alves. Edwards a member of Factory X Muay Thia has won 5 of his last 6 coming off choking Adam Nijem to sleep at Titan FC 33. Alves is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt, who has 6 of his 8 wins by submission.
The main card will also feature college wrestlers Jarred Mercado and Danny Mainus taking on BJJ black belt Jarred Mercado and knock out artist Boston Salmon. Former RFA title challenger Andrew Sanchez faces Clinton Williams, who coming off a 40 second knock out of Raymond Jarman. Undefeated former Prize Fighting Championships Heavyweight champion Brandon Griffin collides with MMA Lab’s Ashley Gooch who’s won 5 in a row.
RFA 26 will be taking place at the 1st Bank Center in Broomfield, Colorado; and will be televised on AXS TV.
