Sluggers face off in Bellator 146 Main Event
Middleweight knock out artists will collide in the main event of Bellator 146 as Hisaki “The Japanese Musketeer” Kato (5-1) clashes with Melvin “No Mercy” Manhoef (29-12-1, 2nc).
Kato fought his first 5 pro MMA bouts in the heat promotion with 4 wins and 1 loss all by knock out. In his promotional debut at Belllator 139, Kato scored a 2nd round knock via superman punch of Joe Schilling. Manhoef has 27 of 19 wins by knock out. The Duthch kickboxer is 1-1 with 1 no contest in 3 fight in the Bellator cage. Manheof at Bellator 125 knocked out Doug Marshall. At Bellator 131 Joe Schilling knocked out Manhoef, and the same happened to Manhoef at Bellator 133 when he face Alexander Shlemenko, but that fight was changed to a no contest after Shelmenko tested dirty in the post fight screening.
The Winstar World Casino & Resort in thackerville, Oklahoma, will play host to Bellator 146 on November 20th.
