Arlovski to Battle Miocic in UFC 195 co-main event
The co-main event for UFC 195 has been set in place with a Heavyweight contest between former Champion and number 4 ranked contender Andrei Arlovski (25-10) and number 3 ranked contender Stipe Miocic (13-2).
Arlovski has won 8 of 9 and 6 in a row. In his last 3 “The Pit Bull” has knocked out Antonio Silva, scored a TKO of Travis Browne and took a unanimous decision from Frank Mir.
Miocic has won 4 of his last 5 including decision victories over Roy Nelson and Gabriel Gonzaga. Miocic last fought in May, at UFC Fight Night 65, defeating Mark Hunt by 5th round TKO, in the main event.
This news is slightly surprising as Miocic was forced to withdraw from a meeting this Saturday(10-24/15) in Ireland with Ben Rothwell.
UFC 195 is on January 2nd, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas; and is headlined by Carlos Condit challenging Robbie Lawler for the UFC Welterweight World Championship.
