Tom Duquesnoy Changes Weight Classes for BAMMA 24
JacksonWink fighter, BAMMA Featherweight (145 lbs.) champion Tom “Fire Kid” DuQuesnoy (11-1-0, 1nc), is looking to challenge himself and a new weight is the task that lies ahead of him on February 27th, at BAMMA 24.
DuQuesnoy will be dropping to Bantamweight (135 lbs) to face Ireland’s own Damien “The Rage“ Rooney (10-4-1). DuQuesnoy is unbeaten in his last 8, with 3 TKO’s and a pair of submissions in that span. DuQuesnoy, who has 5 knocks an 3 submission wins on his resume, is coming off a BAMMA 22, split decision win over Brendan Loughnane. Rooney has won 3 out of his last 5, with a knock out of Mark Connor and submissions of Alan Philpott an Bryan Creighton. Rooney has 6 of 8 stoppage win via submission, but will be returning to action for the first time since November of 2014.
BAMMA 24 is February 27th at the 3 Arena in Dublin, Ireland and is headlined by John Phillips challenging Cheick Kone for the BAMMA Middleweight title.
