NM, Local Favorites Adrian Cruz & Donald Sanchez added to Rumble on Route 66
The two newest additions to Rumble on Route 66 will feature New Mexico WildBunch member Adrian “Killa” Cruz (6-2-1) and Former King of the Cage world champion Donald Sanchez (31-15) .
At Bantamweight Adrian Cruz will clash with Salida, Colorado’s, Cory Ortiz (2-1 from Fresquez promotions) or(1-3, sherdog.com) or (1-4, tapology.com) or (3-5, mixedmartialarts.com),who i found several records for. Back in September of 2014 at RFA 18, Cruz suffered a horrendous leg injury. This past Halloween, “Killa” successfully returned to action scoring a 1st round TKO, of Joseph David Veloz. Ortiz brings the action, the minute the bell rings. This has been proven by that, win or loss the majority of Ortiz’s fights have ended in the 1st round. The consensus on Ortiz’s multiple records is that he’ll being looking to end a 3 fight skid.
For this fight Sanchez will be moving up to 155 lbs. to face Bellinham, Washington’s, Omar Avelar (8-10). Sanchez who in his career has amassed 23 stoppage wins, an has won 6 of his last 8, and is coming off a Jackson’s MMA Series XVI, main event, unanimous decision win over Nick Rhoads. Avelar like Sanchez has pro boxing experience. Avelar has 4 win by way of stoopage, but will be looking to head a 4 fight skid.
