KOTC Ascension Is June 10th in ABQ
King of the Cage has announced a two-part series for the summer of 2016, kicking off with “Ascension” June 10th at the Embassy Suites.
The nights main event will be in the middleweight division, with Force of 1 MA’s stoppage machine Omar Acosta (3-1) against Judgment MMA Knockout artist Anthony Rozema (3-0).
Also expected to be in action on the pro side of the card are Fit NHB members Evan DeLong and Charlie Williams. In November Delong, who will be in the country-main event slot, snapped a 2 fight skid with a 1st Rd submission of Derek Perez. Williams is defeated with 1 TKO, 1 sub, and 1 decision win on his record.
On the amateur side of the card Fit NHB Lightweight Sherwin Price & KOTC amateur Strawweight champion Cynthia “Sin” Arceo will compete in contests, where the winner will be entered in the 2016 KOTC World Amateur Championships 3, on September 3rd in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Also 2 tournaments for KOTC Southwest Amateur titles will start up. The tournaments will be at 135 & 155 lbs., with the semi-finals on June 10th and the finals August 20th.
Names for the tournament and the event overall include Jess Martinez, Ernesto Salvidez, Fernando Sanchez, Carlos Montano, Khari Snowden, Carlos Montano, EsiasGordo, Rene Cedillo,Jacob Bonnefaux, Chris Brown, Ambrose Vigil, Travis Arrellano, Malcom Mitchell, Jonah Archuleta, Kyle Sparks, and Paul Horton; plus many more. These fighter represent great gyms like Fit NHB, Jackson-Wink Academy, Judgment MMA, 505 Fight Factory, Impulse MMA, 10th Planet BJJ, Force of 1 MMA, Perez Fighting Systems, Luttrell/Yee MMA, and others.
