Condit vs. Maia Moves Dates
Carlos Condit vs. Demian Maia had been announced for August 20th’s UFC 202, in Las Vegas, but today the Welterweight bout has been moved to the main event of UFC on Fox 21, August 27th, in Vancouver, Canada.
Condit a member of the JacksonWink fight team, is a former WEC and interim UFC Welterweight champion, who has 15 of 28 stoppage victories by way of knock out. Condit will be fighting for the 1st time since out striking Robbie Lawler 3-1, and losing a split decision at UFC 195.
Maia a Sao Paulo, Brazil, native is one of the top BJJ practitioners to ever compete in MMA. Maia has 11 of 14 stoppage wins via submission and is on a 5 fight win streak, that includes submissions of Neil Magny and Matt Brown.
UFC on Fox 21 takes place at the Rogers Arena in Vamncouver, British Columbia, Canada.
