Urbina vs Guillen Headlines Southwest Brawl 4
Flyweights Jesus Urbina (6-3) of 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu El Paseo and Johnny Guillen (4-0) of Red Spider MMA will be throwing down in the main event of Southwest Brawl 4 on July 30th .
Urbina has won 4 of his last 5, with decision wins over Jonathan Lopez and Tim Sosa, plus submissions of Gene Perez ad Isaac Colon; but will be looking to rebound from a decision loss to Jerome Rivera. Urbina has 3 submission wins all via choke. Undefeated as a pro Guillen is coming off back to back TKO’s of Levi Lucero and Ben Acosta. Johnny also won his pro debut via submission, for a total of 3 stoppage wins.
Coming off consecutive stoppages of Raul Frias (ko) and Armando Montoya Jr. (tko), Maurice “The Hulk” Jackson (4-0) against Bill Colon (7-7), who has all his wins via submission, but will be looking to end a 3 fight skid.
Opening up the pro card will be the always entertaining Randy McCarty (4-6) of Red Spider MMA against Travis Cox (2-2) of Lubbuck, Texas. McCarty split time between Boxing and MMA. Inside the cage McCarty is coming off, a April split decision loss to Sidiah Parker. Cox has 1 win via knock out and 1 submission, but is coming of a knock out loss to Elias Urbina.
Southwest Brawl 4 takes palace on July 30th at the Las Cruces Convention Center in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
