UTE Mountain Casino Hosts KOTC “Reignite” Oct. 1st
King of the Cage will be back in southern Colorado, at the UTE Mountain Casino for a great night of Pro and Amateur MMA action on October 1st., KOTC “Reignite” will be featuring Joe Miles vs. Matt Young & Chris Levya vs. John Rozema.
Miles (5-4) with 3 submission wins, will be looking to rebound from a TKO loss to Steve Hanna. Young (4-8) will be competing for the first time since June of 2013. Young has 3 wins by submission, but is looking to end a 7 fight skid.
Leyva (9-7) is a Bellator vet and has fought 7 times for KOTC. Leyva has 6 knock out wins and will be fighting for the first time since December of 2013; looking to end a 6 fight losing streak. Judgement MMA & Fitness’s “Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em” has rebounded from a 2 fight skid, with consecutive submissions of Josh Rodda (RNC) amd Mario Ramos (punches).
The events amateur headliner will see JacksonWink Academy’s Daniel “El Fuego” Nieto (4-2) challenging Esais Gordo (8-0) of the Farmington Fight Factory, for the KOTC World amateur Flyweight (135 lbs.) Title. Gordo has 3 of his 5 stoppages by TKO and won the title at KOTC Ascension, with a unanimous decision over Khari Snowden. Nieto is a well-rounded mixed martial artist who has scored victories via TKO, decision, and 2 submissions.
