King of the Cage Present StarBound at the Star Center April 8
King of the Cage will be back in New Mexico, at the Santa Ana Star Center in Rio Rancho, to present “Starbound”, headlined by Anthony “Iron Man” Rozema (5-1) battling Desmond Hill (8-4) for the KOTC interim Welterweight title.
Anthony Rozema of Judgement MMA is a vicious striker with 4 of his 5 wins, by knock out and the other is a submission to strikes. Following is lone pro set back, Rozema has scored 1st round knock outs of Thomas Powell and Randy McCarty. Odessa, Texas’s Desmond Hill is the head man at Ruff House MMA and is looking to end a 2 fight skid coming off consecutive decision losses to des Green and James Nakashima. Hill has 5 of his 8 win by knock out.
In the co-main event Jayme Hinshaw (1-2) of Fit NHB takes on Cassie “The Hulk” Robb (1-4) from the 303 Training Center. Hinshaw comes in off a split decision loss to Bi Nugyen, while Robb has lost 2 straight , to Grace Cleveland (dec) and Andy Nugyen (tko). Both woman love to brawl and are submission savvy.
Making his pro debut, Fit NHB’s Sherwin Price, who went 7-1 as an amateur and won his fight at the KOTC Amateur Wold Championships, faces the always exciting, Kasey Yates (0-3) from Perez Fighting Systems, at Lightweight.
Their has been 4 names given of guys expected to be on the card, but are waiting for opponents. At 135 lbs. Nick “St Nick” Gonzalez (4-1) of the JacksonWink Academy, who’s coming off a Jackson’s MMA Series XIX 1st round TKO of Gilbert Cuhen. At 185 lbs. former KOTC champion Bill “Wild Bill” Albrecht (22-14), and undefeated Roman “LA Bestia” Alcantar (5-0). Also former KOTC Amateur 155 lbs. champion Jess Martinez makes his pro debut at 145 lbs.
