After a move up to 10 lbs. to battle for the UFC’s inaugural Woman’s Featherweight title, former champion Holly Holm will be returning to Bantamweight, for her next main event fight.
Welcoming Holm back to 135 lbs., at UFC Fight Night 111, will be former title challenger Bethe Correia. Five weeks ago at UFC Fight Night 106, Correia in her native Brazil was gifted by the judges, a majority draw in her fight against Marion Reneau. Since a 3-0 start to her UFC career, Correia has been knocked out, lost a split decision, won a split decision, and benefited from horrible judging.
Holm will be entering her 4th UFC main event, looking to end a 3 fight losing streak. The former multi-time Boxing World champion, has lost 3 straight but when you look closer the first loss to Miesha Tate, came with Holm ahead on the score cards. The 2nd loss to Valentina Shcvchenko, saw Holm suffer a hand injury early on in the contest. The 3rd and most recent to Germaine de Randamie, came with tons of controversy as twice de Randamie landed strikes after the bell ending a round. Holm is still the only fighter to win major championships in both Boxing & MMA.
UFC Fight Night 11 takes place June 17, at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore.
