TUF 25 Finale Quick Results
The first of two nights of UFC action for International Fight Week, at The T-Mobile Arena, gets going with the “TUF Redemption” TUF 25 Finale.
Along with the TUF Welterweight finals, the main event is a Lightweight between top ten ranked contender Michael “The Menace” Johnson & undefeated former WSOF Lightweight champion Justin “The Highlight” Gaethje.
Following a 4 fight win streak, Johnson has lost 3 of his last 4, but the win was a Knock out of fellow contender Dustin Poirier. The TUF 12 runner up is coming off a November, submission loss to Khabib Nurmagomedov. A Athlete turned technical striker, Johnson has 8 of 10 finishes by knock out. Gaethje will be making his octagon debut after signing with the UFC as a free agent. A perfect 10-0 run, with 9 knock outs, is what Gaethje did in his time isinde the decagon. What tou can expect from Gaethje is wild and aggressive striker, looking to end the fight with every strike thrown.
The TUF finals is really a redemption story, as Jesse Taylor, the only fighter to be kicked off the show after the show, looks to finish what he started in season 7, when he takes on TUF 19 runner-up Dhiego Lima. Taylor is a big Welterweight with high level wrestling and a underrated submission game. Lima is a versatile fighter that can do it all but has had troubles putting it altogether at times. Lima when on used his heavy hands, lands takedowns, and is a submission threat.
