UFC taking Shogun-OSP II to Japan
The UFC is taking Mauricio “Shogun” Rua (25-10) back to the land where he once was Pride champion for a 2nd encounter with former college football player Ovince StaintcPreux (20-10).
There first meeting ended quick as Staint Preux disposed of Rua with a 0:34 knock out.
Since that first fight Rua, the number 5 ranked contender in the division, has won 3 straight over Antonio Rogelio Nogueira, Corey Anderson, and Gina Villante.
OSP the number 7 ranked contender, is coming off a April submission of Marcos Rogelio De Liam, ending a 3 fight skid. Since the win over Rua, Staint Preux is 3-4.
UFC Fight Night Japan is scheduled for September 23 at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.
