UFC 215 Headliner Forced to Withdraw
The main event for Saturdays UFC 215 has suffered a big blow.
First reported by mmafighting.com, Flyweight title challenger Ray “The Tazmexican Devil” Borg has been forced to withdraw from his fight with Demetrious Johnson due to illness. There has been no word yet from the Borg camp of the UFC on the matter.
Borg had won 5 of 6 and 2 straight earning this championship opportunity. On Saturday Johnson was going to attempt to break his tie with Anderson Silvia of 10 successful title defenses.
The assumption now would be that Valentina Shevchenko challenging Amanda Nunes for the Women’s UFC Bantamweight title, will now serve as UFC 215 main event.
