Holloway-Edgar Take 2 set for UFC 222


The canceled by injury original main event for UFC 218 has been officially rescheduled.

All healed up from a facial fracture, Frankie Edgar will have his chance to challenge Max Holloway for the UFC Featherweight Championship, in the main event of March 3rd’s UFC 222, at the T-Moblie arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Max “Blessed” Holloway (19-3) 26, from Hawaii, is on a 12 fight win streak, coming off his 2nd consecutive, 3rd round TKO’s of former champion Jose Aldo. Holloway took the title from Aldo in June, than Aldo replaced Edgar in December.

Frankie “The Answer” Edgar (22-5-1) 36, from Toms River New Jersey, is a former Lightweight champion, who’s won 7 of 8. Rebounding from a UFC 200, decision loss to Jose Aldo, Edgar has beaten Jermey Stephens by decision and scored a TKO of Yair Rodriguez.
