Updated card for August 4th’s “Battle of the Pros”
It’s fight week in Hobbs, NM, as Isidro Castillo’s School of Hard Knocks Productions presents Battle of the Pros, Pro Boxing Event, a 6-fight card, Saturday (8/4) at Club La Sierra.
The main event a battle between Hobbs natives as Kelly Westvy looks for his first win against Michael Sanchez. In the co-main event, coming off a TKO of Ernest Jordan Reyna, Lubbock, Texas’s Chris Cruz takes on Belen’s, Eduardo Silva, who’s coming off a win over Elijo Sena. Coming off a TKO win over Paco Castillo in the main event of last weekends FO1FC: Warriors Path Fight to the End, Gene “The Kid” Perez steps up on short notice to face undefeated top Prospect Aaron “Angel Baby” Perez. Las Cruces undefeated Ayanna Vasquez faces Albuquerque’s Bridgette Baca, who’s returning to boxing for the first time in 7 years. Coming off a split decision win at Route to Glory over Gene Perez, Jose Prado faces the younger Perez, Derek “The Rage” Perez coming off a 1st round victory in Bare Knuckle Boxing match. The card opens up with Hobb’s Jorrel Sparenburg & Albuquerque’s Levi “Lookout” Lucero battling for their first professional boxing victory.
