Delong vs Soto Headlines WBMMA Valhalla Rejects 1
Friday September 28 the NM MMA community will come together for a great cause and a great show. WBMMA will present Valhalla Rejects 1 at the Marriott Pyramid.
WBMMA (Welcome Back MMA) is an organization former by Chad Pederson, a disabled vet himself, in order to provide help an services for homeless and disabled vets, with the assistance of Heroes Walk Among Us, Warrior Brotherhood, Full Battle Rattle ABQ.
It started with vets helping vets. Now it’s time for civilians to join the mission. The WBMMA goal is simple yet important, help raise money an awareness for homeless and disabled vets here in New Mexico.
The pro card currently consisting of 3 matches with the main event at Featherweight, as Evan Delong (16-9) from Fit NHB faces Daniel Soto (9-6) from Ciudad Jimenez ,Chihuahua, Mexico. Delong is a Indiana transplant who’s been in the land of Enchantment for about 4 years and is on a 3 fight win streak, with 75% of his wins by submission. Soto is a vet of UFC feeder, LFA & Arizona promotion RUF MMA, who’s fought against high level competition like Bellator vet Ed West & highly touted prospect Youssef Zalal.
Also participating on the pro card will be JW standouts, Featherweight Jon Sparks & strawweight Celine Haga a Invicta FC vey.
The amateur card currently sits at 11 fights, featuring local standouts Chris Rojas, Francisco Dominguez, and Ozzy Chavez. Additionally many of the fighters on the card are currently or have previously served in the armed forces.
Complete fight card to be released on Friday, tickets at holdmyticket.com for 35$, 50$, 75$, and vip tables are available. Fight night doors are Scheduled to open at 6, first bell at 7.
