October 27, Jess “The Vanilla Gorilla” Martinez makes it 3 main event in a row, this time meeting LFA vet Jordan Ttoni.
Martinez (4-0) has been in the main event spotlight his last two fights and has shinned bright submitting both Roy Saucedo, by armbar & Henry Barahona,by rear naked choke. At the end of August, Martinez went out to Las Vegas, taking 2nd in his division in No Gi at the IBJJF Las Vegas Summer International Open. The undefeated, Santa Fe native will definitely being taking on the toughest foe he ever has. Titoni (6-3) a Factory X fighter, looking to rebound from a knock out loss to Cameron Graves, which ended a 5 fight win streak, that started with submitting Joel Whitney, at LFA 10. Prior to the LFA 43 loss, the 30 year old, submitted top prospect Flavian Pligram by rear naked choke. Born & raised in Colorado, Titoni has half his wins by rear naked choke.
Slotted in as the co-main event will be Rodney “The Captain” Kealohi facing off with Chris “Dirty Texas” Cortez. Kealohi (2-1) won his pro debut finishing Kyle Cavazos with a knee to the body. Three months later Kealohi tasted defeat, getting submitted by Sean Gee. After troubles getting a fight booked, Kealohi got back in the win column in July stopping Cody Simpkins with punches in :48 seconds. Cortez (2-0) a powerful wrestler who his pro debut in March, finishing Mark Plata with punches in under 2 minutes. The grappling of Cortez’s again proved to be a difference maker as he took a split decision win over Ricky Esquibel at JacksonWink Fight Night 3, back in June.
Lastly on the pro side of the card silky smooth striker Clay Mateza makes his pro debut against Jorrel Sparenberg who submitted Angel Castillo in his pro mma debut, and defeated Levi Lucero in his pro boxing debut.
Jacksons’s MMA Series XXVI is set for October 27 at the Buffalo Thunder Resort & Casino.
