Price First Title Defense Headlines Huge KOTC: Starbound II Card
King of the Cage will be back at the Santa Ana Star Center Dec.2nd presenting “Starbound II”. This show will be on the biggest KOTC has brought to NM in years with a title on the line in the main event, 8 pro fights, & some huge opportunities for amateur.
That title fight is FIT NHB’s Sherwin Price (5-0) defending his 160 lbs title for the first time against Nick Angeloni (3-0).Price won the title back in July with his forth straight submission victory, winning with an omoplata, ending a streak of 3 rear naked chokes in a row. “The Genius” has 3 first round finishes as pro including his pro debut win, a TKO the first KOTC: Starbound. Angelon has fought all his pro bouts in KOTC, scoring a TKO of Justin Zabroski in Feb.of 2017, submitting Matthew Gomez in Dec. of 2017, and coming off a decision win over Jeff Creighton this past May.
The rest of the pro card will feature top New Mexico talents such as Charlie Williams, Josh Montoya, Terry Taylor, Evan DeLong, Nikko Nathan, Luis Galvanho, Marc Tong Van, Gene ,and Derek Perez.
In addition to the stacked main card, the undercard will feature many of the areas best up and coming amateurs. Not only will they be putting their skills to the test inside the Cage, but King of the Cage will be awarding 1 pro contract to the top amateur fighter of the night and will also name 2 amateur fighters to an amateur developmental deal highlighting them as featured amateur fighters on King of the Cage cards in 2019!

Winner of the pro contract will receive a KOTC amateur of the year trophy,a multi fight contract with KOTC (non-exclusive), a promotional package which includes professional promo videos and photographs along with promotional support, and a professional fight gear package. To be eligible amateur fighters should be from the SW region to include NM, CO, AZ, and West Texas. They must also meet the following requirements:
For the Pro contract, fighter should be an outstanding amateur who intends to turn pro on their next bout. They should show creative and aggressive self promotion on social media platforms leading up to this event and have a solid following in attendance at Santa Ana Event . Must have a winning record as an amateur.
For the Developmental Amateur, fighter should have no more than 5 fights , show creative and aggressive self promotion on social media platforms leading up to this event , and have a solid following in attendance at Santa Ana Event .
