The main event has number 3 ranked contender Anthony “Lionhart” Smith challenging Jon “Bones” Jones for the UFC Light Heavyweight title. Smith fought over 40 times at Middleweight for such promotions as Strikeforce, RFA, & Victory FE, before deciding during this his second stint with the UFC to move up to Light Heavyweight. The results have been stellar as Smith is 3-0 with 3 finishes. Jones the much maligned champion, will have his first title defense of his 2nd official title reign. Jones was stripped of the title for the first time in July of 2016. Usman is on a 13-fight win streak & is 9-0 in the octagon. Woodley heads into his 5th title defense after having held his throne against the challenges of Stephen Thompson twice, Demian Maia, & Darren Till.
