Brenda Gonzales vs. Marili Fant among new additions to Combate Americas Debut in New Mexico
The card for Combate Ameicas first event in New Mexico June 28th has gained 6 new additions.
The co-main event will see former KOTC & SCS champion Brenda “Boom Boom” Gonzales against 2-time Muay Thai world champion Marillia “Tigress” Fanta. Gonzales last fought in October of 2018, finishing Tamikka Brents inside the first round by TKO. Fanta has all three of her MMA wins by stoppage.
In the feature fight position UFC & LFA vet Joby Sanchez will square off with Miami, FL, prospect Jaime Alvarez. Sanchez a very tactical fighter, has finishes in 66% his wins with 4 knockouts and 4 submissions. Alvarez has finishes in 6 of his 8 victories, 4 by knockout, & 2 submissions.
The featured prelim contest is at Middleweight with Roman “La Bestia” Alcantar against fellow Mexican native now residing in Albuquerque, NM, Juan Ramon “Tyson” Grano Medina. Javier Cepeda, who’s also a pro Boxer, hot off the momentum of his first MMA victory, will face Jesus Villegas from Des Plaines, Ill, in his pro debut. At Welterweight Patrick Ayala & Daniel Martinez battle as they both make their pro debuts. Lastly Shyann Farmer from Alamogordo, NM, tangles with Criszaida Adames, who’ll be making her pro debut from Philadelphia, PA.
Combat Americas is at the Santa Ana Star Center June 28th, the event is headlined by Andres “The Bullet” Quintana & Bruno “Aquiles” Cannetti battling for the inaugural Combate Featherweight title.
