Contender Series 2019, week 2 results
The TUF Gym in Las Vegas, Nevada hosts the second week of the 2019 season of Dana White’s Contender Series.
The night feature attraction is a Light Heavyweight bout, Alton “The Bo-Man” Cunningham up against Tony Johnson. Cunningham has all 7 of his wins by knock including his last two wins over BJ Lacy & Erick Murray Jr. Johnson is on a three-fight win streak. Wins over Justin Baseman & Jaquis Williams have come by decision, while the most notable win came by knockout over Mike Ortega at Bellator 183.
The co-feature is at Featherweight, unbeaten Justin “J-Train” Gonzales faces Zach “God’s Warrior” Zane. Gonzales has made his way to this point fighting exclusively for the Colorado based promoton Sparta Combat League. Zane is a vet of Brave FC & Alaska FC, who’s on a 8-fight win streak.
Unbeaten Kyle Daukas meets Michael Lombardo, who’s on a 5-fight win streak. Unbeaten, LFA Bantamweight champion Miles Johns takes on CES staple Richie Santiago. The curtain jerker has unbeaten, Floridian Miguel Baeza squaring off with Texas’s Victor Reyna.
