Heavyweight Title Bout Tops Southwest Brawl 10
American Fight league returns to the Las Cruces Convention Center, for the promotions first event in over a year, on August 31st. Busting out the big guns the main event will be a rematch, to crown the inaugural AFL Heavyweight Champion.
This will be the first time Las Cruces’s, Randy McCarty & Peralta’s, Manuel Otero lock horns in the AFL Cage, but the two have fought before. The first meeting was in March of 2015, in the main event of B-Town Beat Down 3. A thrilling encounter that saw McCarty win by unanimous decision. Both fighters come in with experience both in MMA & Boxing.
The Southwest Brawl 10 co-main event is at Welterweight Luttrell/Yee product Jalin Fuller faces El Paso’s Kemoy Anderson. Fuller made his pro debut at LFA 58, defeating Andrew Lipp by unanimous decision. Anderson will be making his pro debut with the experience of two amateur win inside the AFL cage.
Las Cruces own Ivan Rios faces Juarez, Mexico’s Richardo Ramirez, at Flyweight, both are making their pro debuts. Also, on the pro side of the card Joseph Torrez an 8-fight vet, who’s been in the news several times for incidents requiring the assistance of law enforcement, will face Juarez, Mexico’s Steve Trevino, who’s making his pro debut. The feature fight of the amateur card will crown a Middleweight champion as Lamar Harris battles Daniel Martinez.
